Newly promoted KFUM, with its connection to the YMCA, looks to be doing well in its first venture into the top level of Norwegian football.
Despite their fairly basic surroundings at the KFUM Arena, comprising various temporary style stands and with a hall opposite used as changing facilities.
Against much more highly rated opponents they held their own to consolidate in seventh position in the league.
In a game that started steadily and pretty much continued that way throughout there were limited periods of serious action.
In fact, the home side looked more dangerous especially when Gyedu broke down the left and combined with striker Elmi Njie.
What chances there were came from KFUM.
Both Gambians Lion Njie and Dodou Gaye played their part in keeping it tight at the back against the league’s top scorers Wolff Eikerem and Eriksen.
The serious action eventually came in the 79th minute when a searching cross from the left reached Nouri who put it in at the far post for 1-0.
But, straight after, as they say a team is often most vulnerable, a quick one/two allowed Molde’s Brynhildsen to confidently strike home the leveller.
The well supported visitors had finally put together a telling move.
And they would push towards the end culminating in sub. Lund Jensen having a header well saved by the KFUM goalie.
Perhaps the visitors could have stepped it up earlier but, anyway, they went away with a point from their visit to south Oslo and thus remain within the European places.
